Cissus; a beautiful youth and companion of Dionysus, famed for his speed, grace, and laughter.
He raced alongside Ampelus, his friend and rival, beneath the blazing sun of the wine god’s court. Yet in time, fate entwined him with the earth he loved, his feet rooted, his body winding upward into ivy.
As Ampelus became the vine, Cissus became the ivy, forever bound to Dionysian ecstasy and immortality.
Together, they adorn the altars of Bacchus, symbols of youth, growth, and the wild joy of nature’s eternal dance.
